About Matcha Dao

Matcha Dao the name is derived from; ' matcha green tea powder ' and the phrase ‘ Cha Dao ’ meaning ‘ The Way of Tea ’ which is an ancient Asian tea ceremony. It is a teaching to turn the pleasurable routine of brewing and drinking tea into a ritual which nurtures long states of meditation and relaxation.

Our passion is carefully sourcing products direct from tea farms across Asia which have heritage and values. We work directly with producers and all of our matcha green tea powder is imported from source and certified organic.

We specialise in all grades of organic matcha including food grade matcha for baking or cooking, premium drinking matcha and ceremonial matcha the highest grade of Japanese green tea powder. We also have a wholesale matcha section where we can deliver bulk matcha powder direct to your business.

About Our Matcha Green Tea Powder

All of our matcha tea products are imported directly from Japan. We offer a range of various quality grades, from culinary matcha to every day drinking matcha and premium ceremonial grade teas.

Our matcha products are all 100% natural and certified organic. We have carefully selected our partners and only source from a single estate organic, family run farm located in Kagoshima, the second largest tea producing region in Japan.

The organic matcha tea facility has obtained FSSC22000 and Halal certification. To give assurances to our customers, all of our matcha products undergo rigorous testing at one of Europe’s strictest product safety centres.

What is Matcha tea?

The Japanese word matcha translates to powdered tea. Japanese matcha tea is 100% natural, organic green tea leaves taken from the tea plant camellia sinensis which have been carefully ground to form a fine green tea powder.
